Before & after round wood table with gold accents.
A beautiful side table that just needed a bit of loving and a punch of color, in this case, gold! This table has the perfect lines for an accent color so we took the natural definitions and painted them gold. We also did a gold tipped leg and a gold honey comb design on top. The top of the table had an interesting naturally worn pattern on it, so we sanded the top, painted a light wash, added the honeycomb design and put a stain over the whole top and wood.
Before and after Peony Desk.
This desk was pretty beat up and had multiple stickers on every drawer. We started by taking the knobs off and sanding the whole desk so we could have a fresh start.
For some reason we had a really hard time figuring out what to do with this desk. We painted the top green like the dresser we did before with the blue body and drawers but then finally decided to paint the desk a dark greyish color with the bright green top and peony stencils painted on the front, with some fun gold flower and crystal knobs to top it off.
A new customer who came in to Chaparral City Gallery during our two-week pop-up shop bought this desk and the chair that was with it. She lives in a great Eichler home in Oakland and we are so happy she bought the desk!
Before & after dresser. This dresser was done specifically for someone. She requested black and gold paint and the size. We kept the original knobs but added a light gold over them to brighten them. Great solid piece to begin with that turned out great in the end.
Before and after mid-century desk, dark grey with gold trim. We liked the original color on this desk but wanted to amp it up so we went a bit darker and added the gold. The foot pieces and handles were left original.
This piece was sold at The Find on 2/12/11. (To my lovely friend for her new apartment!)
